Many of the things that made Voice amazing 10 years ago seem like the bare minimum for apps in 2022 (desktop texting, multi-device sync) or baked into MNVO carrier plans (unlimited calling minutes, inexpensive international rates) so I'm on the fence on my future with GV atm. I exclusively use my Voice #, but I am aware of Messages' RCS functionality, consistent updates, and cleaner UI. Messaging has become my main method of communication, and so although Voice has unique calling features/functionality, since my main usage is texting, it can feel outdated.
